What is Just Like Sugar®?
The main ingredient used in Just Like Sugar® is a Chicory Root derivative that is tasteless and contains no odour. This ingredient has been used globally for many different food products primarily as a filler and as a fat-free texture modifier.
However we have found another use for it and it is amazing stuff
Our Inulin (main ingredient) is obtained from Chicory Root when large molecules are split into smaller molecules by hydrolysis (reaction with water). this is sped up by the acids or enzymes found in the plant naturally. The same process is present when bread is toasted and some of the molecules are broken down due to the action of heat and moisture. Our proprietary process is devised to only use water without the rerquirement of heat.
